Job Description
1. The primary duty of the Golf Shop Attendant will be to serve as a member of the staff that is able to answer phones to make tee time reservation and answer members’ questions, operate the POS system, ensure correct daily cash flows, open and close the pro shop, keep the golf shop clean and organized, and sell merchandise in the shop.

2. In order to promote a coordinated effort, the Golf Shop Attendant will work closely with the Director of Golf, Head Golf Professional, and Assistant Golf Professionals to make sure that membership needs are taken care of through the golf operation. 

3. He/she will need to ensure that members and guests are checked in and charged properly. As well as maintaining an upbeat positive attitude when working with each member. 

4. He/she will have to be able to work alongside the Director of Golf, Head Golf Professional, and Assistant Golf Professional when dealing with proper setup and take down of tournaments/outings that we present throughout the year. Successful tournament setup includes staging our cart fleet, prepare the pro shop, and help operate the bag drop. 

5. The Golf Shop Attendant, when needed, will have to perform some duties of the Outside Staff. If asked he/she will be expected to help pull, wash, and park carts in the appropriate area. He/she quite possibly will have to help out setting up, taking down, and maintaining the range as well. 

6. The Golf Shop Staff will engage in promoting the game of golf and general goodwill. To help accomplish this, it will be very important for the Golf Shop Staff to develop a rapport with the members that helps put them at ease. In addition, it will also be necessary to learn and know all member's names to aid this process. 

7. While not directly responsible, the Golf Shop Staff will be required to provide assistance in the following areas of operation:
• Bag Room Operation
• Bookkeeping and Scheduling
• Tournament Set-Up, Promotion, and Implementation
• Administrating Club Rules and Regulations  


Job Information
• Compensation – $12 to $15 per hour, based on prior experience and qualifications
• Position Classification – Seasonal (approximately 20-35 hours per week)
• End Date – End of the golf season or approximately end of November

Experience Required
No prior experience is required, but would be preferred. The ideal candidate would have prior experience with the golf industry and customer service. Furthermore, the ideal candidate is one who is outgoing, friendly, self-motivated, reliable, and has attention to detail.
