Job Description
1. In order to promote a coordinated effort, the Bag Room Staff will work closely with the Director of Golf, Head Golf Professional, Assistant Golf Professionals, and Bag Room Manager to make sure that membership needs are exceeded through the Bag Room operation. He/she help to establish the daily procedures for operation, he/she will also make sure that they are carried out properly. If problems arise within this portion of the operation, the Bag Room Staff will work with the professional staff to help create a solution. 

2. Ensure that members’, guests’, rental, and demo golf sets are always cleaned and properly stored. The Bag Room Staff must be detail orientated and effective in this important job duty. Maintaining a clean and organized Bag Room will be vital to the department’s success.

3. Sustain the fleet golf cart operation by insuring proper preparation, cleaning, rotation and maintenance of the fleet and golf cart buildings. Also, the Bag Room Staff will coordinate with our maintenance department to fix any mechanical issues with the golf cart fleet. 

4. Provide a first class presentation of the staging area and practice facility by ensuring that both areas are properly prepared, stocked, and staffed. These areas are high volume traffic areas and must always have a first class presentation. Golf carts must always be stocked and parked in an aligned fashion outside of the bag room. The practice facility should always have a sufficient amount of clean range balls and should be regularly checked to ensure proper presentation. 

5. Deliver proper setup and take down of tournament operations by being present and directing staff at Wakonda Club’s large golf outings. Successful tournament setup involves efficiently staging golf carts, setting the practice facility, preloading golf bags, and operating the bag drop. Wakonda Club has both member only events and outside outings. 

6. The Bag Room Staff will engage in promoting the game of golf and general goodwill. To help accomplish this, it will be very important for the Bag Room Staff to develop a rapport with the members that helps put them at ease. In addition, it will also be necessary to learn and know all member's names to aid this process. 

7. While not directly responsible, the Bag Room Staff will be required to provide assistance in the following areas of operation: • Golf Shop Operation • Bookkeeping and Scheduling • Tournament Set-Up, Promotion, and Implementation • Administrating Club Rules and Regulations 

Job Information
• Compensation – $11 to $13 per hour, based on prior experience and qualifications
• Position Classification – Seasonal (approximately 20-35 hours per week)
• End Date – End of the golf season or approximately end of November

Experience Required
No prior experience is required, but would be preferred. The ideal candidate would have prior experience with the golf industry and customer service. Furthermore, the ideal candidate is one who is outgoing, friendly, self-motivated, reliable, and has attention to detail.
